Care costs, explained clearly.
The right support starts with understanding both your needs and the arrangements you are agreeing to.
A clear quotation for your own plan
Care costs vary with the service, support needs, location, visit pattern and staffing required. We provide a tailored written quotation rather than a single website price that may not fit your circumstances.
| Service | Arrangements we discuss |
|---|---|
| Home care | Visit length, frequency and timing, location, support needs, required staff skills and whether two workers are needed. |
| Personal care | The assistance needed with washing, dressing and personal routines; visit length, preferences and any moving and handling requirements. |
| Dementia support | Familiar routines, communication needs, the level of support, staff skills and involvement of the people you choose. |
| Care for older people | The combination of personal care, meals, practical routines and companionship, together with visit patterns and staffing requirements. |
| Live-in and overnight care | Daily support, accommodation, agreed rest and relief cover. Night-time assistance and additional staffing are assessed separately. |
| Respite care | Duration, dates, visit pattern or live-in arrangement, the person’s support needs and suitable staff availability. |
| Meal preparation | Time needed for meal planning, preparation and shopping support, together with agreed food preferences and dietary requirements. |
| Medication support | The assessed level of medication assistance, agreed prompts and routines, visit frequency, required staff competence and recording arrangements. |
| Companionship | Visit length, frequency, interests and activities, location and any agreed travel or activity expenses. |
| Community outreachPrivate nanny services | Support hours, personal goals, activities, appointments, transport arrangements, mileage and agreed activity expenses. |
Know what is included
Your quotation should clearly set out the agreed care charges and any applicable charges for travel, weekends, bank holidays, night-time support or additional staffing. We discuss minimum visits, changes, cancellations and payment terms before you decide.
Private care, direct payments and commissioned packages
Tell us how the proposed support will be funded. For council or jointly funded packages, we clarify the agreed rate, authorisation and invoicing responsibilities with the relevant parties.
Ask for the written quotation and service terms, check the planned hours and support, and discuss anything you are unsure about. An enquiry does not commit you to starting care.
